Most gravity water filters require lifting the top tray to see how much water is left in the bottom tray. The casing is made of stainless steel (304) and consists of a glass tube that allows you to easily and quickly read the water level with the coloured ball. This tap with sight glass features a plastic handle (approved for food safety) with 2 positions and a sight glass. When it is time to clean your stainless steel water filter, simply remove the tap, remove the glass via the cap at the top and rinse the glass tube with soap and water. REMEMBER not to lose the little ball! Then let it air dry.

Installation sight glass tap stainless steel for Pure Filters Voyager and Pure Filters Home water filter

1. Remove the nut and possibly all 4 parts (cover plates and white washers) from the tap's threaded stem
2. Place a stainless steel cover plate and then a white ring on the threaded stem of the tap.
3. Insert the threaded stem through the hole in the lower container of the water filter.
4. Place a white washer and then a stainless steel cover plate on the threaded stem on the inside of the lower tray of the water filter.
5. Secure with the nut. You may need the tightening tool to tighten securely. Alternatively, you can hold the nut on the inside and then turn it with the tap on the outside. Don't over-tighten, but it shouldn't leak.
