Use
The ProOne G2.0 filter elements are easy to install, use and clean. Priming is not required and no additional filters are needed to remove fluoride.
Installation
Follow the roadmap below:
- 1. Take the filter element and place rubber ring on the stem.
- 2. Insert the handle through a hole in the top tray.
- 3. Tighten the wing nut on the underside of the upper tray. If you feel resistance, that is enough. Do not overtighten. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for any other filter elements.
- 4. Seal the remaining holes with the blocker plugs provided.
- 5. Place the upper tray on top of the lower tray.
- 6. Fill the upper container with water and allow the water to drain. We recommend discarding the first 2 cycles!
Cleaning, maintenance and storage
We recommend cleaning the filter elements once a month, as well as the containers and other parts of your water filter. However, if you notice a difference in the taste/odour of the water and/or experience a delay in the flow rate earlier, this may indicate that your filters need cleaning.
Cleaning
CAUTION: DO NOT use soap when cleaning a filter element. Make sure NO water gets into the stem of the filter element.
It is important that no water gets into the blue stem of the filter element. So hold the filter element by the base and hold it under cold running water for about 2 minutes. While water continuously flows over the filter element, scour the white ceramic exterior with the scouring pad provided. Rinse well and set aside until ready to reinstall.
Replacement
If you notice a difference in the taste/odour of the water and/or experience a slowdown in the flow rate, this may indicate that your filters need cleaning. If after cleaning, the filter speed does not increase or you still notice the same taste/odour, then it is time to replace the filter elements.
