The Coldstream FTO PLUS water filter element has excellent performance in reducing more than 200 contaminants (including PFAS and microplastics)
Coldstream FTO PLUS water filter element - Coldstream FTO PLUS water filter elements are gravity filter elements and have excellent performance in reducing over 200 contaminants, including heavy metals, fluoride, pesticides, herbicides, chlorine, chloramines, nitrate, bacteria, viruses, pharmaceuticals, microplastics, PFAS and more! Ideal for use with tap water and most natural drinking water sources (including water from lakes, rivers, streams, ponds and rainwater). They also fit many brands of gravity water filtration systems (including Berkey, British Berkefeld, ProOne, Phoenix, Aqua Logic, Monderma, Boroux, Pure Filters and Newton).
This filter element consists of two main components. A specially formulated and unique ceramic outer layer, which provides protection against bacteria, particles and microplastics, among others. The inside consists of black granulated carbon media.
The Coldstream FTO PLUS water filter element is NSF-certified (NSF/ANSI 42) and tested by a independent laboratory According to NSF/ANSI standards 42, 53 and P231. See the laboratory report for more details and the website of NSF.
The Coldstream FTO PLUS filter elements are easy to install, use and clean. Priming is not required and no additional filters are needed to remove fluoride. Before installation, just rinse the outside briefly under the cold tap and, if necessary, sand lightly with an abrasive sponge to remove all production dust.
We recommend cleaning the Coldstream FTO PLUS filter elements once a month, as well as the containers and other parts of your water filter. Then again, rinse the exterior under the cold tap and, if necessary, lightly scour with a scouring pad.
Every six months, you should replace them.
Installation
Follow the roadmap below:
1. Take the filter element and place rubber ring on the stem.
2. Insert the handle through a hole in the top tray.
3. Tighten the wing nut on the underside of the upper tray. If you feel resistance, that is enough. Do not overtighten. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for any other filter elements.
4. Seal any remaining holes with blocker plugs.
5. Place the upper tray on top of the lower tray.
6. Fill the upper container with water and allow the water to drain. We recommend discarding the first 2 cycles (with new filter elements)!
