Damaged Berkey systems are supplied with the same and whole new Black Berkey filter elements. Damage occurred during the manufacturing process and may be scratches, dents, stains or discolouration on the casing (the upper and lower stainless steel chambers) AND it involves light damage. The Royal Berkey Water Filter DAMAGED are marked by a "B" stamped on the upper and lower stainless steel chambers, indicating that NO warranty applies to cosmetic defects of the chambers. On all other parts (including the Black Berkey purification elements) the standard warranty does, of course, apply.
 
 

Information about the Royal Berkey Water filter

The box of the Royal Berkey water filter includes: 2 stainless steel chambers (top and bottom), 2 Black Berkey filter elements, 1 stainless steel lid, 1 plastic tap (with mounting hardware), 2 wing nuts (for Black Berkey filter elements), 2 washers (for Black Berkey filter elements), 1 priming button (to prime Black Berkey filter elements) and 2 blocking plugs (to fill the free holes, which can thus be used to expand the water filter with additional Black Berkey filter elements).
 

Installation

You can easily assemble the Royal Berkey in minutes without tools. The first step in preparing a Berkey water filter is priming Black Berkey filter elements. It is important that this is done properly, otherwise purifying the water will take a very long time.
